With the cold windy forcast for weekend, I met a couple fishing friends after work Thursday at one of our tidal creek spots. It had just finished the rain showers and air temp was 70F. When we arrived the wind was directly from the south and against the tide. Despite tough conditions, we landed some crappie mostly smalls with a couple handfuls of bass up to 3 1/2 pounds. Frogs are sounding which is a good sign. Wheat fields are greening up. Saw more gizzard shad too.
