Urbana Lake - Under Cell Tower-Behind PB Dye

Any of you Maryland folks ever have any luck here getting Crappie? I am just getting into Crappie
fishing this year, live in Clarksburg,MD. GOing to be hitting the dock in Black Hill soon....
Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Never fished Urbana for Crappie, but I've fished Black Hill a fair amount. The Crappie are there, but they're not easy. You'd think the standing timber right off the launch would be loaded with Crappie, but I've had little luck there.Too much pressure, I guess. I'd head for the large timbered cove to the left (assuming you've got a boat); just watch out for the submerged boulders. Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the info. Another reason for sonar. I will be chceking out where you mentioned.I only live 3 miles from there. If I have any luck at Urbana lake I will let you know.
