    Default Birthday

Well I had a great start to my 49th Birthday today. When I got up my beautiful wife was already in the kitchen with a pot of coffee brewed. Kissed her good bye, Hooked up the boat, drove to the ramp. Launched the boat and this is what the meter looked like: 38 degree water with hungry fish all over the place

Even got a yellow perch and crappie on the same cast. I've done this before with stripers and white perch, but not yp and crappie:

Started getting cloudy and the wind started blowing so I headed back home after catching well over 100 fish. I did keep 4 for the frying pan.

Thinking about heading out again tomorrow as our water will likely be frozen here after Thursday.

Thanks Mike - my wife never usually gets up that early either. It was nice though.

Went back out today but over in Jtowne and got 4 crappie and hundred(s) of perch. Kept my 10 keepers

Glad to hear you had a productive day. Looks like the fishing is starting to get a lot better. I didn't get out to fish yesterday, so I got some catching up to do.
