    Default Monday shore fishing

I caught a few nice variety of fish from the shore today onan outgoing tide. Caught and released 7crappie, 18 yellow perch, 9 gills, and 2 pickerel. Fished a bobber 4 feet deep with a small silverice jig tipped with plastic. Hot color of the day was orange, my favoritecolor. Here are a few pics I took just to rub it in on a buddy that had towork.

Way to go, nice fish. I've been trying the upper potomac at point of rocks and bellow the dam #4 for walleye and blue gill (never caught a crappie there yet) but nothing yet, I think for a successful day I will have to plan the arrival time a little better, since most times I show up after work.
Btw the pic looks like a trout magnet jig, but I'm crappie aren't aware of it in that river.

Can't believe the perch did not go home for dinner. Down here they are too small to fool with, but the bigger ones are fine eating. Had some at a restaurant in Ohio and could not decide if walleye or perch were better, then found out they are first cousins.

The orange plastic lure is a crappie worm. It's a lot thinner than a trout magnet. I was using it on a small ice jig.

I didn't have enough time to clean any fish since I had toreplace the infighter on my oven. I can't make the wife mad.
