    Default St.Pattys fishing luck!

We hit one of our spots we do good at when it gets warmer on fri. evening and only got 1 nice thing was my daughter who's 20 is just now wanting to start fishing more caught it a nice 11"crappie. Our luck changed on St. Pattys day though ,it was cold and a little windy but the luck was with us as we had 97 crappie counted on the clicker along with 7 bass and 3 white perch what a day. Best method was casting 1/32 jighead with a whitor white with chart. tail and steady retrieve .I cant believe how aggressive these fish were on that cold front, some chased the jig rite to the boat. We fished in 5 to 8feet water temp. 45 my daughter had to work I wish she was with us after the slow time we had fri. We"ll try that spot again in a couple weeks it gets good when temps get 50 or better The tidal water is better when its cold seems like.Had a nice hot corned beef cabbage and tater dinner after cold fishing.Name: 100_1336.jpg

I'm green with envy. Nice catch and photos. I wasn't able to make it out last weekend but I hoping to give them a try this Sat. and hope that I find the same results at a couple of my spots.

Yeah I hear you about the cold temperatures. I have been carrying around a $1 thermometer I bought at the Dollar Tree to monitor the water temperatures during the spring. The warmest I have seen this year so far is 43F. I can remember fishing flounder seaside in VA during this time of year and the temperatures being 60F.
