Default Finally starting to get out

Well the soccer season is starting to wind down and now I can start getting out. Didn't go for crappie today, but went for perch. Caught 20 fish with the highlight being this bucketmouth. Caught on a 2" power grub. Weighed 6lb on the BogaName: 6lbmiddleriver.jpg

I was trying to see if the whites had moved into the river yet, but they haven't. I did catch 5 or 6 yp that were probably right at 9".

I got a bunch of good whites last week just outside rocky pt. Several at 12". Caught them in 16-18' on grubs

Nice largemouth. I have been getting a few small YP. I was planning to start crappie fishing but Sandy messed that up.

Thanks Mike - I did catch 4 keeper YP in Middle River, but released as they were right on 9". My buddy got a few nice crappie on Monday in J-Towne. This warm temp all last week slowed the temp drop though as it's still holding about 61-62.

That temp should be dropping soon. Now I just need to get my boat issues fixed. Ihave water still getting into the tank. I cleaned it out and checked the fill and vent hoses and sealed up thesending unit. I ran the motor for a week on muffs added 10 more gallons offuel. Took her out just past the 6 knot marker hit full throttle made it 100yards and the fuel phase separated. The fill cap is domed and has the ventbuilt into it and is located on top of the transom. I just can't see how watercould be getting in through the cap.

What kind of boat? Any pics of what you're referring to? Are you saying the water is entering the tank while you are running?

17' Triumph. I think it might of been condensation in the tank that dropped into the fuel when the bow started bouncing in the waves. It's a 21 gallon tank under the floor so I have to take the motor back off to get to the cover.

    Mike,

I was googling around and it seems there are some others with mysterious water intrusion in those boats. Apparently you have a dual level, L shaped tank. Look at THT and the triumph forum.

It does have two levels sort of a T shape with part of the tank going forward under the floor.. Thanks, I'll check out those sites,
