Went this morning in a little short lived break in the rain got 26 crappie 2 y. perch 3 pickeral then started pouring real hard. Me and the dog were starting to get real wet ,she loved though. They wanted the lures moving faster then I normally fish them . WT 56 today hot lure was pink head with black and white hair maribou jig.

A good Crappie man never lets monsoon season stop him for long. WTG!

Question for you: We're trying to rig my 17' Tracker with something akin to a spider rig on the front & rear decks for side drifting &/or trolling. Looked @ what Cabela's & BP have to offer. Wondering if you might have a homemade solution.

I used wall plates (a plumbing part we use at work) screwed to the gunnels with stainless all thread and a stainless rod coupling to one of rod holders they sell at wallmart.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I forgot about MD's limit of 3 active rods per angler, so I just picked up four clamp-on holders; each of us can use two holders and hold the third rod, or lay it on the deck under a foot.
