    Default Crabbies instead of crappie


    Broke out the trot line this week them crabs are early this year , got 1 and 2/3 rds bushel on fri. and 2 bushel today. Took the boys from upstate new york fri. there 1st crack at trotlining was good , they took crabs back up to the adirondak mountains.

    That's really interesting. What kind of crabs do you get on a trot line? When I was in the Navy, I was stationed ap Patuxent River Naval base for almost 4 years. I was only 18 years old. We would have beach parties, catch soft shell crabs, boil them right on the beach. If I remember right we had a few beers to go with them. Great memories, best 4 years of my life.

    Same kind but when then hard . We get the soft ones and fry em. That base is right in some real good fishing and crabbing country we're across the bay from there.They are blue crabs a very important part of our local economy.
