    Default Happy McCrappie Day!

We started a new fishing tradition today, we often try to do friday afternoon trips with Tear em ups son Matt. And now that daylight savings have started we decided to start early this year. We were just last week commenting on how much we were looking forward to our evening trips when the crappie are turned on which we really didnt expect what happend tonight?
Well Tear picked up the dude at school at 5 when he was done with a school St Patricks day dance, so we already are on a bit of a late start. I met them at one of our local spots and we poped the boat in and got going. To start a new tradition we used as many irish phrases as we could think of and I brought along 3 large shamrock shakes to get us in the mood. The water was 62 degrees which was kind of unexpected but good. We started slow trolling with mostly chart and chart/pink twisters and a couple of bl/sl finesses, it was kind of a slow pick at first but it steadily go better and we ended up with 39 crappie total, and some nice ones too, also the males were in their full black tuxedos and some females were full of eggs and others spawned out already. Must have all happened this week?
All and all a really great evening! Hope to have many more. Heres some pictures, im finally starting to get a little better at that too. Hope everyone does as well this weekend, im in the middle of moving into a new place so tonight was my only chance for a little while. Good Luck of the Irish!
