    Default Cannibal crappie

Water temps dropped some more and the crappie are getting hungry. G-duck and I got 44 crappie this morning kept 20 to eat along with 12 yellow perch. When we cleaned the crappie we were finding little crappie and bluegills in them including 1 crappie about 4" in a 12" crappie. Also found 2 small y.perch in some crappie. Water temp was down to 69. G-duck has pics will prabably post them later. We had the yellows for lunch, man they were good.

Yes we certainly did have a good time, got to love those cloudy rainy days, especially when your not expecting them?? Tear didnt mention our pet heron that we were feeding minnows at 5 30 in the morning in the parking lot. Then the heron spent all morning strafing us out on the water everytime he saw us fighting a fish, we tried tossing him bluegills as he passed us but he wasnt quite good enough to catch them in mid air, he tried though! Be crious to see if hes there next time. Tear said on one of his passes he missed my head with his wing by about 3 feet??
The shore dinner was and unexpected treat too, when we got home his wife already had the fryer out to make crappie dude some french fries so half the cookin work was done already! Destiny I guess.
Certainly was a fun morning and a good way to start the 2nd trip of the 2nd 1/2 of our crappie season. Heres some pics and of course the big choclate ham had to get in em too. Have a great week.
