Haven't been out must for Crappie, I been yellow perchin. I did go out this morning for 2 hours. The water was supposed to be high at 6:25. I got there at 7am and it was 3 feet below normal and going out! Wind was blowing pretty good too. Caught 1 carp and 1 crappie before calling it quits.

I have been working way too hard this winter. I have one more week then I start my spidder crappie trips. It has been tough to not fish and sell fishing trips each weekend. But it has paid off big with only 12 or so days left till Sept open. I have stopped at all the fishing spots when I had a moment and talked to lots of fisherman and most report slow conditions.

With the early spring you would think the water to be much warmer...but it is not.. need a week of sunny days to start them up.

Boat is almost ready / bait is almost ready / rods are almost ready / And I am more than ready...

Glad you guys are still out there. My son and I got 14 crappie tonight at a shore fishing spot . Might do a quicky trip in the am. and go w perchin on sun.
