Default A good hour of fishing

Went out last on a last minute trip this morning , decided to try a little spot I haven't been too in about 12 yrs. . Got a fish right away a 12 1/2" crappie then a pickeral then a decent yellow perch and then a bass ,1st 4 were all different species. Fish bit good for about an hr. then seem to shut off. Ended up with 3 crappie 7 yellow perch several pickeral and 1 bass. Had 1 otter go by today and 1 bald eagle. Green tube jig was best today. Water temp was up to 45 at this spot. Tried to post a pic it said file was to big . This trip made up for fri. night when we only got 2 pickeral.

Much better trip than I had Sunday afternoon. We started at Tuckahoe trying to catch a few rainbow with a friend of mine from Cambridge who has never caught trout. Started with spinners with only a couple bumps. Switched to power bait on bottom with a couple hits but no hook ups. Tried whole night crawler and minnows both under bobber and bottom with a couple hits but still no fish. Left there to hit a tidal river to try for YP or anything else but after another 1 1/2 hours no bites there. Nice sunset, wood ducks flying, bald eagles and peace and solitude. Going on a solo trip south of Easton this afternoon due to buddie cancelling with stomach flu when he woke up. Steve

Nice catch. Seems like those last minute trips turn out to be good ones. It sure feels good to get out again.
