Ice
Prommised my son we would fish this morning. Got to the pond and it was covered with ice. One small open area about 200 yrds from the ramp. When I told him we may have to come back another day the look on his face told me that we were gonna be breaking ice. Started catching yellows as soon as our lines hit the water. Landed around 20 all nice. Not one Crappie. My son did catch a big Pick. Biggest he has caught. Only fished a cpl hrs and by the time we were ready to leave a good bit of the ice had melted. Kept 6 yellows because he wanted to eat some real fish sticks. Used 1/32 lead heads with tiny tiny minnows.
