I wasn't even planning on going this am but woke up at 4:30 went out and loaded up the jon boat went for an early trip to 1 of our millponds. Started out where we had been gettin em down by the dams but it was a slow pick , made a move back into some backwater around some cypress stumps and found some steady action trolling twister tails both under floats and just plain longlining. Ended up gettin 33 crappie 9" to 13" with most 10" and 11". I also got some large bluegill including 1 that I wieghed before releasing it it 1lb. 5oz. also got about 15 decent y.perch . The only bad part of the day was loosing jigs to pickeral and stumps but thats crappie fishing. I did land about 6 of those pickeral . A pretty good sun. morning all in all left em still biting at 10:45 water temp. from 69 to 72 most fish caught in 6ft. All fish today got released.
