Pretty cool, I'll have to give that a try in the future.

Hey guys, I've used this method successfully around 10 times now so I know it's solid! I've gotten my jig back 10/10. Got snagged on Livescope:

Nice. Thanks for sharing
I finally got back out on the lake last Sunday and pulled a couple in the boat, I got some nice ActiveCaptain vids from Crappie walking off real slow with my minnow in their mouth! I'll have to post those too.
Very cool! Added to my “snag kit”

Bait knockers have been around for years is this different in some way or just the video on livescope?
I used to carry a lure retriever with me but dont anymore for some reason. I do have a soup can with a bunch of 1oz weights with snaps on them that i use to get single jigs back. Clip to line, send down to jig on tight line, shake 2-3 times and jig comes free. You have to get above it though.
On my scope rods i typically use 15-20lb braid with a 1/2oz weight and a small ball bearing swivel, then a 6-8lb leader to my jig/hook. So that jig/hook gets broken off and a new leader tied when i hang up. I havent lost a weight in 2 years.
Interesting, I have not heard of bait knockers before and i never saw them in a bait shop! This is my first season Crappie fishing with a new No, I saw some guy on a Youtube short do it, but he didn't really give an explanation of what he was using or how it worked. So I just tried it with a 2 oz weight and it worked 10/10 times so I posted the vid. We were not trying to catch getting snapped on Livescope it just worked out that way.
