Hartwell Crappie Question

We fish Gum Log Creek 95% of the time. We usually fish over brush. Our usual method is vertical jigging. I’ve been under the weather recently and a family crisis as well has kept me off the water. My buddy uses store bought plastic jigs and I usually use jigs I tied. Since it’s been a while does anyone have suggestions about the kind of habitat the crappie are using now? Any other tips you might have for us would be greatly appreciated.
