Default Slow day at Lake Harney

Well this is my first post. I went to Lake Harney today. I haven't been able to go ocean fishing in weeks due to the big swells. So today the weather was perfect to see if the crappie have started up yet. I fished for 4 hours and got 7 crappie. they were all 9 inches or more. All on Jigs, all trolling. No particular color. All in 7.8 to 8.2 feet. All on the south to south east side. The water is still very warm. The current in the river is faster than I have ever seen.
Not a big catch day but enough for a family dinner. And I got to go fishing for the first time in 7 weeks.
Thanks Ketchn thanked you for this post

    Welcome to the site.
That's a long layoff, glad you were able to get back on the water. It does sound kinda slow but hey, it sure beats getting skunked for 4 hours.
I'm sure if you were to ask some questions about when and how, there will be someone from your area that will offer up some intel on where and how.
Gotta get some pictures for us next time; we all love looking at everybody else's catch!
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

7 fish, first time out in 7 weeks, sounds like a good day. I too have not gone out much here in Florida lately, and when I do it's been for a very short time. But I've caught a couple each time. Seems like they want to turn on, but have not quite yet. Good luck.
