Default itty bitty brown and black hand tie

My friend in Oklahoma ,tied me up a few , they are tiny , says they are his grandpa's favorites .
He only sent me 3 and I could only find 1 the other day .
Was right deadly , till the hook broke , likely a 1/64 number 8 maybe ? Tied on a Jungle jim jig ducktail jig to finish off that visit ....
VERY finicky VERY light bites , midday in the shade , fish were very wam to the touch for coming out of 12 fow ....
ran the jigs about 8 foot deep in 12 fow under a float .... they liked a VERY slow drag by
ok numbers of ok fish , let them all swim off ....
    KABOOM is near

Those are some really nice crappie, especially for the dog days of August. You know it's been hot if they feel warm coming from water that deep. Maybe they just moved to deeper water from the shallows. I fish shallow lakes now and the first day after the brutal heat wave the bass I was catching felt warm to the touch. Put them in the mood to jump. One jumped six times including a triple jump.

Nice, JungleJim has me cleaning off my tying table to pour more 1/32 jigs. If I didn't go did thru those molds I would have been ok but not now. Itty Bitty's catch this time of year also live bait does well.

sometimes it's that super slow fall rate and other times it's too small to look over real well and a decision must be made before it swims off , just saying
and for sure in the heat of the summer , some fish really look over a bait that's somewhat stationary this time of year , not sure why the caution , but to be sure I have seen them swim up quickly to a jig and just look at it for a longtime

Nice fish! That’s a real good jig and they even work on the Crackers when the tails a little shorter. Now I’ve gotta go see if I have any in the box. I think maybe…..

My work bench will look close to that pretty soon too. I’m having to dig to find some heads I lose a lot.
