Default The River is still UP

So I wanted to stay close on my lunch break , went to hit a spot that is sheltered from the big water to play with the bream and such in there when the river runs big , as I passed over said big water , it seemed to be about back to normal and the water looked less muddy ....
I ran down to where I could check it closer near the back water spot and decided right quickly ....
a big u turn was in order and back tracked to a big bridge over the river ....
I was sad when I saw it was actually still up about a foot or so above normal and had current when I got up close and personal ....
at that point, I was there and thought ....hmmmm might be biting ,,,,the water color looks pretty decent and the current is pretty low .....and there ya go
first cast got bit and it continued , lost a decent black crappie and managed 20 or so not so big white crappie and one lil bitty bluegill .....
watched a couple pigeons get a drink and half tail water snake and about a herd of them jog on your lunch break folks ....surprised me this go , 4 different folks stopped and quizzed me about if I was ketch fishn and 3 of them were women ,,,,go figure
most of the time them there joggers never say a word to me down there
a jig about 6 foot deep in what I would think was around 9 to 10 foot deep ....
black and chart was best , bg blue ice quick second , straight dim chart was kinda dim ....
very light bites ,,,,pretty fun ...very humid and hot ....made me leave ....
sweating like your going to the electric chair when your in the shade is kinda not fun for me
and KABOOM is the word btw

I am blessed with several lakes and rivers in close proximity to my job, full of them critters and a boss who understands my need to ketch them
