    Default Blind Check

I had a couple of things I needed to do yesterday (Sunday) afternoon, so even though I didn't have much time, I made a quick trip to check to see if the fish were still hanging around the duck blinds. We had a front come through on Saturday, so it was noticeably cooler in the morning and the higher pressure must have had a pretty big impact on the fish. I still managed to catch a few, but the majority of them refused to bite. I have a fishing buddy (who's the best sacalait fisherman I know) who was also on the lake who called me and said he found a big pile of them on a blind, but no matter what color or size he threw, he couldn't get them to bite. He wanted me to go to that blind and see if they'd bite live minnows. I caught a nice 12" fish on my first cast, but after that one, I could not get another one to bite on that pile. That scenario repeated on each blind I tried....I'd catch one, but the rest refused to bite.

Any of you ever find fish where you know that they're there, and they refuse to even bite live minnows?

Still caught enough to have a Sunday afternoon fish fry. My daughter, who's been working a lot, finally had a chance to stop by, so I threw in some of her favorite....fried frog legs to go with the fresh sacalait. Life is good!
