Crappie Magnet Slab Bites - anyone use them?

Been playing with the Slab Bites and Gulp! nibbles in the new Eye Hole jig heads. But lakes are froze here, so no more experimenting until probably April or May.

So looking for any thoughts? I know Gulp! catches fish - but have you had any noticeable luck with the Crappie Magnet Slab Bites? The Eye Hole jigs are pretty cool, and seemed to work last fall to keep fish hanging on better.

I use the eye- hole jigs with the slab bites. I've had pretty good "luck" with them. I really like the eye- hole fin spins best.

I am going to play with them more this season. Hard to measure the "more bites" think sometimes - but I really want to see if fish hold on longer. Fished under a float, seeing how long they hold it I think will be a fun test!

I was using crappie nibbles for a while with some success, and i always keep them on hand for a little extra scent. Recently I got into big swimbait and glide bait fishing during the spawn for big bass. The glide baits and swimbaits are known to entice big bass followers but they usually break your heart when big bass follow your lure just to turn right at the boat. I started using Fish Scent Sticks Lure Enhancer in the shad scent on those big swimbaits and glide baits. I noticed that the those same followers actually committed with the scent much better than without any scent. So, i started using the shad scent stick on my crappie lures and noticed a significant difference in bites. The scent stick is a staple in my crappie arsenal now. You should give them a shot. In my opinion they work much better than the nibbles and last way longer on your lure.
