Alright guys, I picked this up at Academy on clearance. What do I need to make it Livescope capable? If anything.
    Thanks in advance.Name: IMG_0499.jpg

Exchange for a Garmin unit and purchase a GLS10 plus LVS32/34 transducer?

You could buy Humminbird's Mega Live. Some swear by it. Most would go with Garmin Livescope or Lowrance Active Target.

Livescope is Garmin. But Humminbirds clone is Mega live. The newest version, mega live 2 and should be very close to Garmin Livescope.

That Humminbird has very, very good Side & Down Imaging.

I have garmin livescope. I had humminbirds but when buying a ffs system it was cheaper for me to go with a 9" garmin because i would have had to buy another humminbird to be able to run megalive so that's what i done. I started with a lvs-32 & now have the lvs-34. I've been in the boat a lot with a buddy that's had megalive a long time & personally i've never saw the big problem with it myself. There's been a lot of crappie & bass caught with it & he's never has a problem with it. His imagery is very good in my opinion. You could actually see more at a distance with his bird than i could my garmin. That being said i'm completely satisfied with my garmin especially after adding the lvs-34 but if i had a humminbird that was megalive capable & that was my best & most affordable option i wouldn't hesitate.

MEGA Live (1) will work with your HELIX ...

MEGA Live 2 only works with SOLIX G3, APEX, and Xplore ...

Great extra unit for running side and down scan. Mapping!
Garmin is the way too go on FFS.
For what it’s worth I actually like Hummingbird side scan better than Garmin.
But if you run a small boat like me, you may not have room for all that.

Thanks guys. I wound up buying a Megalive transducer. On sale at Bass Pro, now we’ll see if I’m smart enough to mount it.
