Default Mr. Crappie Monofilament - or other recomendations?

Anyone use the Lew's Mr. Crappie Mono in 4# or 6#? How do you like it?

Shopping for a new Hi-Viz mono.

I used it for years and worked just fine for me. SOS line by Trout magnet is also a decent line. I now use Vicious panfish line which can be found at most Walmarts.

Yup no issues with line. I do think there are better though.

The original Mr Crappie line I used to use (4# test) was some seriously strong line. I have a spool of the "newer" make and it don't seem to be quite the same (Taiwan made). But, I'm currently using Vicious hi-viz 6#, and have been for many years now. I like it better than most all the other brands I've used over the years.

    A 1/4lb spool (2360yds) of Vicious Hi-viz 6# test is $8.50 at WallyMart.

I'm still only 2/3 of the way thru my first 1/4lb spool of 6# Vicious, and have another 1/4lb spool backup. I'm not sure where the one spool was made, as it doesn't say on the label, but the new spool says it's made in India. (if that makes a difference)

When I’m not using braid I have Gamma Panfish on. Best I’ve found.

Gamma is a very good line. Tests higher than what the box says. For the very best Varvias is the ticket!
