First I was thinking juvenile yellow perch but its body isn’t right. Maybe a shiner of some kind? Baby walleye? Not sure, never seen anything like that.

Looked it up by the pic. vbottom and GreenLine are correct. That particular one looks like a roanoke logperch darter.
