Some say that and fail to accomplish the task at hand ....
some say that in the prep to accomplish the task at hand and do not fail .....
but as you well know , it isn't my actual saying , but nontheless ....
here we go ....
now for sure there will be doubt , there will be scientific bla bl bla
there will be pro articles disputing this and that as well
but in the end there is lil ole me ,,,,,just stumbling round pitching a jig ....
and in my wanderings there will be moments , where I interrupt the fish frolicking in their attempts to make baby fisheez ....
So once again ....here we go ....
this is a black crappie and a white crappie that met the knife.
and inside said crappie are these egg sacks .
a semi close examination of the eggs indicate things that interest some folks and not so much others .....
to say the black is far away from spawning is for sure a mistake .
when the water temp rises 10 degrees from its current average .
them black versions will march to short waters in these parts
there will be some spots in some lakes where the water will warm enough after 3 or days of hard sun that the actual by the bank temp. will be attractive to some of the more seasoned fish that have done the deed before .....
this is just an fyi to those that miss most of the spawn every year reading articles about the perfect water temps and the etc. etc. etc. that goes along with that silly approach to ketchn crappie .
here in Texas , be in short water next month on the full moon cycle and look at rocky spawn areas known to produce during the spawn in the past and thank me later ,,,,,just saying
