    Default Big ole fish ....

Well past it's prime is my guess and likely weighed pretty well , tattered tail suggests life has been tough on this ole fish , BUT mind you this , just because something is old and looks like it might not have much time left on the planet ....
DOES NOT mean it ain't got no fight left in it !
This here ole dog smacked the jig and I set the hook and in just a quick second it was on like DONKEY KONG !
came up fast on 6 foot of line in 7 foot of water and lost it's fishee mind like you just can't imagine .....
partly due to it being so green and partly due to it being mean is my guess , BUT ....
to be very sure the battle was as fast and furious as I seen on a really big ole crappie in a while ....
It was on my line for mere seconds before it JUMPED out of the water onto the dock ....
Then as my eyes were adjusting to holy you know what thats a BIG CRAPPIE , back in the water it went !
Second or 2 and some serious hard core thrashing and BACK up on the dock it came for round 2 !
Second time up on the dock and as you can imagine this ole fella said that's JUST about enough of dat !
What a jim Dandy big ole crappie , just made me smile so big I had to pack it up and leave the bite
it and 14 others got to ride back to work to donate to the less fortunate fish eaters at my job ....
ketched around 25 or so and it took a while to figure out just what was going on down below my feet .
Had to be slowly falling diagonally once again and not still like the last few visists .
AND as Unlikeyou stated , boy howdy did they want ORANGE , white was not good , nor was chart ...
But tied on an orange and KABOOM was in the air ....
the color was called dream sickle and it was a 16 mph north wind and drizzling rain and a bit chilly too,
7 to 8 feet of water and falling close to known cover on the bottom .
to better gauge the size of the fish here is a collage image of a 14 inch fish beside the 17 inch ole timer .....
KABOOM is the word for sure
p.s. 1st 30 minutes was depressingly slow , 2nd 30 minutes made up for that bigtime , just saying
