Friends,

Thanks so much for the continued prayers. I am humbled and grateful to be a part of a community of like minded folks. It is a blessing to have a forum where I can request prayer when life throws a big curveball!

I wanted to let the prayer warriors know my heart surgery has been scheduled for 10/19. The plan is to replace my pulmonary valve via open heart. Please pray for a successful outcome with no complications and longevity of my heart valves!! The last one only lasted 15 months which was very disappointing.

I ask for prayer for the doctors and nurses that will be working on me and caring for me. Please pray the care team will not let me lose too much blood again.. it was very scary last time. I ask for God to give me comfort while I am in the hospital. Last time my back took a month to quit having muscle spasms which made it difficult to rest. Lastly, I ask for prayer for my family as we navigate this second round of open heart and for God to give us courage and a calm mind going into this life changing surgery.

I will probably be in the hospital for 1 week and then recovering at home for a couple months. I will let everyone know how it went when I am able.

The ducks and crappie lucked out this year!!Next year I’m gonna really put the hammer down on em!! Thank you all so much for the prayers! They mean a lot to me and my family.
