Purchased a bed cover for my truck on a Friday. Was sitting on my porch Saturday afternoon from the other side of Tennessee. Takes 4 days to send a letter that distance
I ordered a music CD on 6/29 and it is still making a multiple trips around the US. It's suppose to be here on 7/14 so now I hope the delivery person puts it in the right mailbox (keeps getting my address confused with a neighbor).
Said package was delivered today...I truly do not understand the postal service. The shipping receipt showed the right town, state and zip code for where it was going. I followed it by the tracking number Ketchn sent me as well, (matching number on the receipt. it was scanned at 4 post offices in 2 days, actually about 30 hours, all in the Ft Worth area, finally ending up at a local delivery only facility, I thought it was strange but worse has happened. When I checked Saturday the 8th it still hadn't moved and I said enough. I called USPS customer Service and complained. they started an investigation as to where it was. A local Springfield, Mo. supervisor called me on Monday to say it was found and would shortly be on it's way.
To be honest, ALL our mail, even cross town mail goes through the Kansas City distribution center for USPS, then to another distribution center in Kansas City, Ks, over to Lenexa, Ks it goes from their Down to a USPS distribution center here in Springfield, MO. over to the mail facility that actually puts it in a mail box. Even cross town mail goes through the whole system...Why.
I have a jig maker that lives 15-20 miles north of me in Bolivar, Mo. straight shot up hyw. 13. A package from him, no matter the size takes a week to get to me. I can call Jason up make my order and meet him the next morning in Bolivar and be home in less than an hour, and we talked fishin for 35 minutes...instead of waiting for a week.
Thank you again Ketchn for having the drawing for the fishing gear. Hopefully I get to go fishing this week end and put them to use for sure.
Na they raised prices again this past Sunday. Gotta pay for all that fuel consumption and incompetence somehow…:Rofl
Here's 1 cause: I live about 1.5 miles from the 40222 post office. My zip is 40223 which is about 5 miles away. BUT if I need to go to the post office to pick up my mail I have to go to the 40243 post office about 7 miles away. go figure ! 40222 = Lyndon Ky. 40223 = Anchorage Ky. 40243 = Middletown Ky. I'm in Moorland Ky. ??????
my first ever encounter was a check mailed to my mom 25 miles away , took 7 days to get there regular mail , the same day a check mailed to florida got to them in 3 .....i asked about 3 thousand questions and got some of the stupidest answers you can ever imagine about it had to go there to get there before it could go from here to get there .....seems after 25 years nothing has changed :banghead
