Grabbed a few jigs and 2 floats and hit them again. Bit really well on the HOT pink this trip , like EVERY cast good !
Mostly male fish in shallow water and saw no real large female fish in the mix , likely most of the big girls are done and gone best I can tell .
One thing for certain it was that spring sling festival you dream about and get this part ....
all overcast with a strong east wind and cloudy and quite chilly ....
not a soul in sight because as we all know they ain't gunna bite in them weather conditions during the spring fling ...
Sort of got boring they bit so well , not kidding , sometimes its fun to work for a bite , on this adventure if you pitched the HOT pink and had it set 12 inches under the float , you were for sure GUNNA see the float sink like it had a rock tied on it !
All fish went free and saw 2 fairly large male fish in the mix and they have been absent in that spot until now for whatever reason?
The black and chart critter was only 2 fish , the shad imitation was around a 10 and the other 50 or so WANTED sum a DAT Hot Pink ...
Only crappie bit and I am of the opinion they likely set up hard the night before due to that BIG ole April moon the night before.
Bet dark thirty was just ridiculous on fire if they were like they were at lunch break yesterday ....
KABOOM is the word![]()
