Cutting reeds

Today me and my dad cut reeds for hours getting ready to sink them tomorrow and until we get all the piles refurbish, takes a lot to keep 40 or more brush piles up. But reaps rewards later, I sure hate putting them out right now when the water temps are around 66-67 degrees. We are suppose to catching them, but with all the rain, it’s hard for us to find them, water is MUDDY right now, so I guess we are still doing something productive by putting these fish shelters out.

gabowman we catch hundreds of crappie per season on these reed tops, so piles we put out are surely worth it.
