CATCH A BIG-UN
Kinda like the Windrider Boreas fishing suit. It's insulated well, floats, and has full length leg zippers. 350.00 for the set but they're offering a 35.00 off code on this suit right now. it has a 5X rain rating which is light rain and sleet only. They're non insulated Pro All Weather rain gear is 250.00. It has a 10X rating for heavy downpours. Sounds like the winter suit would be great up until March or so and the other suit would be what I would want to carry the rest of the year.

Take a look at the Clam ice armor series. They come in different weights and prices. I have the lightest/cheapest for up here in Michigan and keeps me very comfortable during cold months. I use them for ice fishing and in the boat. A nice feature they have flotation built in (not CG approved), but are not bulky. Seasonal clothing should be going on clearance soon.

BPS 100mph suit is kinda the gold standard around here, hard to go wrong but they are expensive.
The Artix bibs are pretty good for the price, I have a pair. Pair them with a good jacket and you've got it made. Wind/water proof is the thing to look for. I have thin jackets that are far warmer than puffy ones because of the wind proofing.
I bought Striker Ice Predator bibs on sale from Striker for $200, and a 2XL Predator Jacket from Sportsman's warehouse on sale for $100 after searching and searching and searching for deals the wrong time of year (Sept/Oct) and I could not be happier with it.
Well thought out and laid out pockets. A little stiff/bulky but I knew this, as it also will float you for 2hrs or so. If it's 28-30F or warmer, I can usually just wear normal thin nylon ripstop/breathable (because theyre comfy) type pants I always wear, and a long sleeve short of whatever choosing and , and whatever head/face (usually clear ski goggles and baklava hood) and be fine running 25-35mph down the lake and more than fine sitting still.
It it's colder than that, the only thing I add is one of those AFTCO reaper hoodies. It's got a built in neck gaiter that also can be pulled up as a face mask. That with the gaiter pulled up to my face while running the boat, hoods up, everything zipped up, with a beanie (toboggan for us southern fellas), and my ski goggles and I'm toasty. That will usually have me roasting sitting still with any sun, even if it's below freezing.
I have the Stryker Climate. Agree couldn't be happier. It's definitely cold weather gear.
