Fellows don’t really want to advertise this BUT fishing everyday will let you do a lot of experiments if you allow yourself and have the anistive to learn by not catching many, losing lots of fish, meaning bites that you don’t catch. So being the fisherman that I am, I tried sneeling a hook on bottom then up about 5 inches or so I wrapped a 1/4 oz egg sinker about 5 times, then about 2 foot up I tie a swivel to my main line, which is spiderwire ( line that is tied from hook to swivel is 8 pound mono) I got this from catfishing and using circle hooks, my first experiment was with octopus hooks, they work great, but when you get hung on treetops, stumps, or what ever, line breaks, so I tied this to a regular Eagle claw 214 hook just to see if the hook acts the same as a circle hook, and it does (as long as you tie the sneeled hook correctly) my hook up ratio went up tremendously. If you try this start toeing from the bottom up.
