A Little Late

I hoped to get in on the Bobby Garland fish picture posting thread, but I stayed too long visiting with a neighbor at the lake parking lot. Oh well, It was a slow day fishing and they didn't want crankbaits. I broke out some Bobby Garland Baby Shads and put my new Sam Heaton Super Sensitive 9' rod to work. I ended up catching 21 crappie and one junior bass. Not bad for a slow day. It was great sport and much fun. I know there will be another matching rod in my future. I really like how the tip gives a little before the fish feels any resistance. I missed a couple of short strikes and half of the fish I caught were hooked right on the corner of the mouth. The other half the fish I caught were hooked in the back of the throat. Not quite sure where I'm going tomorrow, but it sure is nice just to leave the boat in the truck bed. I only had to recharge the depthfinder battery and remove trash & recyclables from the kayak.
