I thought I had lost it but today I found my first rod and reel. The rod is a Betts 6 footer and the reel is a Record Half-bail. Not a big thing to many folf but it was the first rod I ever owned and the first rod I bought with my own money I earned. Bought at a little bait shop on the way to visit my grandfather on the French Broad River in Sevier County Tennessee in the mid 1960's. The reel was a gift from my Dad. It is the rod I caught my first fish on and many more after that. Just waxing nostalgic .
