For what it’s worth, on the Chattanooga part of the Chick today around Chester Frost. I managed to boat 5 crappie and one gill. Between the wind and all the boat traffic I feel it was an ok day. Blue ice was the color of choice around a couple of docks. Surface temp started at 63 was around 68 when I stopped. Personally I am not experienced enough to say if the were starting on beds or leaving. The crappie hit fast for about 30 minutes then as the sun moved and rage shade changed it died down
I enjoyed my day
