    Looks like balls of shad to me with a few crappie stacked above them.

    was bait and crappie suspended and a few on the bottom . the bottom huggers would play ,the suspended ones not so much

    yep looked like several bait balls and predators around them. so the bottom ones were players but the suspended ones were not? interesting. guess the suspended ones had already fed.

    it is odd there , the suspended fish are often miserable to deal with . most of the fish "if" you can get ANY of them to hit are the ones within about 2 feet from the bottom .
