Driving as fast as I can get away with lately . but stop once in a while for a cardiac jolt at the gas pumps in my travels ......
then work work work and drive some more , did a Pitstop for an hour yesterday , thought the blackies might be up in a spot I like west of town .
sure enough the big fat ones were there and biting , the lady with the fish basket that was empty when I got there ,said thanks alot for the fish as I hit the road to track a lost hog in the dark .....never found it
The wildlife sightings have been abundant and on the way home last night , I doubled hammered a SKUNK with two tires ! the good news is this about that ....
was traveling so fast on the moment of impact that it never EVEN got to spray my truck ...
the deer and hogs and other wildlife are out and about in numbers lately , spring is coming it seems and the need to reproduce seems to be on the table .
so what about the crappie you might ask .....staged up for a bank run was where I found them. Female fish in about 10 foot of water and males in about 8 foot of water on the black crappie , the only white I saw was in deeper water and white as a ghost and bit like a perch.
the blacks hit the jig like a runaway freight train and none were lip hooked for sure.
btw seen a "trophy" possum as well , what jim-dandy it was .....
saw well over 20 deer on the farm and about as many hogs ,and the fields around there are just flat out full of deer.
found a pair of Ariat riding boots for my wife in her size ! at the feed store ,btw , regular price 239.99 , got em for 75.00 us .....win win ....
and installed led lighting in our shed at the country place too ....
long day it was and busy busy is me .....

we are mostly t shirts lately , with a touch of sweating in the mix , sure need rain
really dry here ,the spot I hit is at least 4 feet low and that in turn hurts my location around the corner from there .
the short water in the other spot is REALLY short right now ....
turned my water back on at the travel trailer yesterday though after fixing a busted drain pipe ....
got down into the single digits here a couple weeks ago....
will install my new ac in the trailer in the next week or so ...
bought to NEED it is my thoughts ....
stay tuned , we are about to be in our t-shirts and shorts in Texas any day now...
but as of now ,still wearing my long pants is me

The price at the pump will leave ya driving away with a limp. . Good you got some fishing in, shared the wealth, found a steal on some boots, avoided the curse of the skunk. The lights light it up nicely

Wasn't too long ago you could get a full tank for what I paid for a half yesterday. Another round of cold stuff next week, but eyeballed some turkey buzzards yesterday...soooo keep them PF's handy, snakes will be out and about shortly!
