Thats the solution I feel is appropriate also. I threw it a few times and it works well. Even with the spool curls from being spooled a while. I will be stretching some to help remove the curls and using it until it no longer viable. Wasn't expecting it to be pre spooled so it's a bonus anyway. Love the reel so far and not disappointed in any way.:fish
