Made some first thing this morning Ketch,,,,but mine went with black head

Many thanks to all for the nice comments , it was a really nice outing . my 8 fish made me 5 quart bags and one dinner :highfive
Them fish were sure enough pulling hard that day, one broke me off , thank goodness I had a few more black jigs with me .

its a new one I got last summer , sure is nice ,highly "flexible" straw of some sort , comfy and durable so far ....
plus it is still summer in these parts , the ac is on and we are still sweating , just saying :Rofl

A/C has been on for the last few days here in Tennessee as well. Been unseasonably warm and rainy here since Christmas Eve

Left with 25 nice fat ones , we hit a gauntlet type scenario where a creek channel runs close to a point and fished open water no cover on the bottom . the fish were roaming the shore in about 17 foot of water and wanted the presentation drug across the bottom .
The actual reason for the trip was 2 fold , had to drop off his black hand ties I got him for Christmas and needed to wet my whistle for some rod bending as well .
Don't know what the "best" 8 weighed but did put 2 on the hand scale for grins before they met the knife.
That my friends is my fishee story and I am sticking it to them:Cowboy

If you don't mind me asking WHAT IN THE WORLD do you do with these tons of crappie

Like many of us probably makes sure those who need it or love it get plenty of his ketch. I know I give 80% of my sacks away. plus have several friends that I simply call up and tell them there is a bucket o crappie on my deck. Or at LSL will deliver to several who will clean them without my having to do it, which is way better!

Or my son has key to couple of my condo/cabins and will clean me out when he goes there. which is fine as his crew are my boys and have big crappie fries and love them some filets. simply gives me a reason to go out and ketch some more. can't stand to not have bags o crappie in all my freezers in case someone wants some.

Love those black jigs but I would have a chartreuse head on half of them or pink for the contrast and see which ones the crappie like better.
