Default the week in review ....

I would try to tell you some story about the bite at some spots verses others is better some time frames and or in certain weather conditions and or light conditions and or lack of .
I might even go so far as to tell you a certain color or style of jig was the ticket .
Heck it could come to pass I let on it was only because I used fancy electronics and a boat to run them down .
Shoot in the end I might tell you how stealthy I was with my long rod and snuck up on them and ambushed them poor unsuspecting crappie fishes .
Or maybe even a particular scent addition to my jig before said jig got in the water .
then again i could go on and on about the "perfect" water temperature ....
....BUT in the end none a dat would be the truth ....
The truth would be more in line with I stumbled up at multiple times of the day on multiple lakes in my circle of about 100 miles of my regular travels with my favorite 6 footer and .....
then pitched my jigs into said waters and found more than willing fish at EVERY lake .
Now were they all 3 lb. crappie ?....nope not a one was EVEN close ....
were some in the 2 lb range and exceed 14 inches ....YES at least 2 of them .....
did I stay long at any one spot you might ask next ....No not more than a hour or a bit at any of them .
I did get a pretty fair whooping by some unseen BIG fish at a few of those stops and hope I didnt let the ever infamous BIG wall hanger crappie escape me ...
but once again to be truthful I aint sure on that at all .
I did lose a rather large one at one stop that i got to see quite well up close and personal
being careful with a my rod ,not to whack it on something above me during the tussle .
The fish were in waters ranging from about 2 feet deep out to about 14 feet deep .
Magic depth at at least 2 of the stops for the larger fish was water about 6 feet deep .
in the end it was a bountiful week and really fun to get my rod bent so frequently .
I released a few onto a guys stringer that was struggling yesterday to ketch him a dinner and the rest of them went on their way to do whatever they were up to before my intrusion on all my other pitstops .
I will mention a combination of blue and chart on 2 different hand ties in the 1/16 weight class seemed to get better bites from larger fish at 2 of the lakes .
Stumble out to the water if you get a chance and pitch that bait of choice , the fish are ready and willing and the weather is rather spring like to say the least .
on a final note it was black crappie and white that were in the mix and a few bluegill and then ......a not so common colored largemouth bass too !
the ever infamous BLACK LIPSTICK one .....
and YES as always KABOOM is me and the word of the day as well
