Great looking place to fish. Getting everything ready in KY. Not as long as it has been.
Shoot man .... I'm just ready for the "pre-spawn" feeding frenzy to start. And I'm hoping that the lakes I fish won't be "up in the trees" during the pre-spawn & spawn period, like they have been so many times in recent years.
curious what age are crappie in the 14 to 15in size, the lake we fish last year i caught a lot of crappie 99% of them were 7 to 9 inch about how old are they

I'm getting there
It's a love/hate thing for me. I love trolling jigs - and fishing shallow - and the way they look all fancy in their spawning colors, but I have to admit I don't like the crowds that come out in droves on my home lake to fish the spawn. Thankfully it only lasts about three months of the year at the most.
I'm not a fan of the crowds either. Last year, with corona, it was flat out insane.
I have more fun catching them all winter and summer than I do the spawn, they're a little more predictable that time of year. The spawn is super variable and tough in clear water, I do usually fish it every year, but many times don't do all that well.
I can't wait, but need to wait. Getting a nused boat and need to make upgrades before the season begins.
I’m ready for some consistent weather. A week without two cold fronts blowing thru would be nice. Usually when the weather breaks that pattern the fish will be ready.
