No More Steam

Rising from the water right now .
Outside temperatures are in tune with water temperatures.
Water temperature was steady at 45 and the start temps were in the high 30 range .
we got there about 9 and left at noon .
the sun warmed it up to the 50 range outside by the time we left .
The water temperature never varied .
Fish were under schools of shad and it was a fun in the sun trip .
Best fish were shallower and the deeper we went the smaller they got .
15 to 16 water depth held real good fish .
much over 17 they dropped down to just keepers here and there with smalls in the mix .
15 to 25 feet of water held fish , deeper not and shallower not.
drop offs and rocks and brush had fish near them but not on them .
we tried 5 different locations and found fish at each stop .
fish had a preference for larger shad colored jigs .
good times for sure
