I grew up fishing a ton, but as I got older life got in the way and I'm just now able to get back into it a bit. I just moved to North Alabama, and have a boat and easy access to Guntersville dam, ditto landing, and other places close by to those.

I have tried fishing Guntersville dam a couple of times now,and just can't find fish. I was initially looking for stripe, but was told that they may not be up that far yet? I was fishing with zoom super fluke. I would also love to find a way to catch a lot of white bass and crappie. I have some friends who are brand new to fishing, and I think finding some active whites or stripes could be a great way to introduce them. I personally would love to find some crappie as well.

To get to the point, would anyone mind giving me some tips for the wheeler lake area? I can't go another trip skunked and keep any dignity..... thank you all very much and I'm very happy to be a member of the forum!
