I hit a spot I have not had access to in 3 months or so yesterday before work . The local crappie guy there told me the same thing as the other local crappie guy on the other lake 75 miles away the day before .
They aren't biting …….
First drop until I left I slung fish like ridiculous fast , I mean it don't get any better yawl . They hit on the fall before it got 10 foot deep and they all came out of a cookie cutter at between 9 and 12 inches and the number of fish I hurt is just not fathomable to mention and way past belief in 1 hour and 45 minutes .
I most assuredly threw back 2 limits over 10 inches and he was like always in that he really didn't want any of my fish to add to the 3 in his basket ? I know him well and he often is that way , but to each his own don't ya know ….
There is good news in that some guys watching waited patiently for me to move as I NEVER moved a foot from where I started until I left . They ran to that spot literally when I walked off and started dunking minnows in the cut in half version as I told them you will run out of minnows fast if you don't half them…..
Dipped the same jig from the day before and I had to trim it some as it was flat out ate up , off the shelf panfish assassin with an off the shelf yellow Gander mountain 1/32 jighead .
Fish were suspended about 8 foot down again in around 12 foot or a bit deeper water , all post spawn and almost every bite was not a bite if you get my drift . Like I told him they are not biting just like you said bro , but then again yes they are . It is that subtle of a take my friends ….
stay tuned and stay on em …
KABOOM is the word
p.s. I know I know I didn't wear a hat as I was so excited to get to that spot I just grabbed a rod and got at it ….my bad![]()
