Possibly the Red mask you ask ?

I took off at lunch break looking for a spot to ketch a crappie or 27 yesterday . The recent rains and amounts of such brought my river locations to a boil . The lakes around work also rose a bunch and have current now as well .
Current is quite often the enemy when you chase crappie and so it began .
I opted for the new Red mask as there was a fella close to me at the spot I chose . Well it did not go well , one slack line bite and up comes what might be a crappie in a few years . So I took off the mask at stop 2 and it really didn't get much better . I did get a lot of bites ,but still no numbers of crappie and no size either .
to add further insult to my never fail ego , yellow bass and longear sunfish kept hitting my "crappie" jig
So I tried to tell myself early on it was the Red mask , but in the end it was just about I didn't fine my intended victims in any sizes or numbers . Yet again I failed to represent Crappie.com wearing my cool shirt in the proper manner ….so …..
my apologies Slab for what I consider a classic FAIL ….I fully intended a selfie crappie.com t shirt episode with a bunch of big ole slabs .
you know it might have been the lack of a KABOOM ballcap ….that just crossed my mind as another excuse
maybe the combo red mask ,straw hat caused it …...one just never knows for sure .
