Just keep hearing negative comments . I love my live scope. Have caught more big fish than ever . I release some , beginning to worry about too much fishing pressure, Right now read our Game and Fish Commission has looked at the issue and not concerned .
It’s simple just release the big ones to fight another day and only keep what you can eat. If you’re not a responsible fisherman pre LS you want be one post LS. My 2 cents.

Need to worry about fishing pressure. why? Improvement in electronics, baits created, improvement of rods and equipment, boat sales, education of the public. I could go on and on as we do surveys in our Sports Shows and it shows the results. Why is all the states Fish & Game Commisions not showing a interest in protecting your fishing more? It’s not from sales of Hunting licenses and hunting equipment as that all peaked 10 or more years ago and it’s the fishing and boating industries that are generating the taxes and the returns to the states from Fed tax returns to the states.as it increases in growth. not the hunting. Do they worry about fish populations? Here in Indiana definitely not with the exception of bass sizes and limits. They contradict themselves saying crappie size wouldn’t make a difference but it does on most other species when the growing season is the same for all species. Right now with no body working? Look around you. It’s packed..River banks and lake banks where the public can bank fish is packed as well as lack of parking at all the boat launches and while our turkey season just ended,,,I could hunt anywhere on State and Fed land without running into another being,,same for our mushroom hunting in the spring. All states know where their income is coming from so it will determine how they respond to the issues. Just my 2 cents,,but our surveys each year teach us how to advertise and where we want to spend our advertising dollars and to which crowds we want to reach to generate attendance and sales to our exhibitors. Fishing is way more of a family participating activity than hunting also.Quote:

But I really believe Garmin is having hardware issues with some of transducers. There are several guys that have been running it for 1-2 years with top quality professional installs having major trouble now. And one I know that has won multiple tournaments(didn't do the latest updates either)that probably knows it as well as anyone that is having major issues as well. I have personally seen the dead spot on my tournament partners setup with old software too and it wasn't there when he first installed it. It is plain as day on stakebeds we build and fish. I fish brushpiles almost exclusively, one thing I noticed right off, a lot of my waypoints were off just a touch.
I could see the brushpile on my 2d sonar, but livescope showed I was sitting just off the brushpile. 5 to 10 ft.

GPS is can be off + or - about 10' and how you mark it can be a factor . With live scope you only need to be close and you will find it .:twocents Did the same with side image on trolling motor too . But nothing like real time and putting a bait right on their nose with live scope .Quote:

I will say this but not to make anybody mad or to sound like sour grapes but after having fished several big crappie tournaments, I'm convinced some of the top tournament winners now would be less than average fishermen without Livescope.
Love mine. I'm not worried about decimating the fish on my part. As an example I went two days ago and caught around 50 crappie. 50+ fish days are fairly normal however I only brought 7 home to cook, the rest went back into the water. Keeping a limit isn't big on my to do list. I usually keep what I want to eat the next night and let the rest go.
Love mine, been having some issues with software and hardware but I still love it. Nothing else out there comes close to providing me instant feedback.
