Got three bites...

Going nuts here watching the new little ankle biters!



So wifey said she'd watch them for a little while I checked out the lake.






I got three bites, and they were all the wrong kinda bites! The two above, and a yellow fly which bit me on my ankle along side the puppy bite marks! lol

And on another note. I scooted up a little dead end canal in my bay which is in an area that's pretty remote. No-one really travels up this far in this bay cause it's kinda shallow. I chose to check it out cause I was hiding from the wind. Anyway, you'd never even know this dead end canal existed unless you were right up on it. It went straight back into the woods/swamp. I trolled up into it as far as I could go while still being able to turn my boat around. The canal did a sharp turn left and was no wider than my boat, so that's where I stopped. All the sudden I did a double take looking up the skinny part of the canal. There was a gator filling up that whole canal looking straight at me. It was HUGE. I've seen plenty very very big gators since I've been down here, but this thing scared the you know what out of me. It's head was massive, and it surprised me, I freaked out. Never felt like that, wow. Thankfully, it's snapped around turned back and did not proceed towards me. Huge splash. wowser. I got the heck outa there. Darn, shoulda taken a pic....darn, darn, darn. But at least I have all my limbs.
