I'm guessing it will put a pause in the spawn, will cool water down quiet a bit.

Water temps made it to the 62° mark right before this 3days of sub 50° temps with rain, and 3 nights of 27-30° ,How much if any will this affect the crappie spawn ?
I'm guessing it will put a pause in the spawn, will cool water down quiet a bit.

don't stop now, 62 ain't bad. Males will still be there and if the females aren't they will be at the first break...![]()

My thoughts exactly...The water temp dropped some, but didn't go fridged cold. The ladies made a beeline fore warmer grounds. A couple of day's of warm weather should get the water temps back up and the ladies are back and the dance will be too!!!

Even the boy fish in deez parts don't like it when the water chills a bit , I ketched males with color 16 foot deep in 20 fow yesterday and the water was 63 ….
its likely a combo of temp drop ,water depth fluctuation and possibly the alignment of the moon and the stars and maybe even mars .
it could happen you know![]()
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
I hope this isn't hijacking. What is your best guess of the water temp 16ft down in 20fow?

It is not only dependent on water temperature. Time of the year and the amount of daylight, combined with temps is a factor to consider. NOTHING is cast in concrete when it comes to fishing. Just keep fishing!![]()

it's like trying to figure out what makes women happy, it's always a mystery and keeps changing. So just keep dipping the shore lines till THEY get into the mood.
In loo of a depth finder, Me being stuck on shore till my boat gets further along, a good lake map helps.Shows any deep spots that might be closer to shore where they could be moving to that are with-in casting distance...
