Nice crappie.
Those are some really nice fish. Thick, too. You know that if you had caught a boat load and the next time out for him he only caught a few, he would probably be very disappointed. You done good.
The sharing of a good time, should be the first objective. Catching of fish, just a plus to the experience.
I agree, we had a night of good conversation and he did say that he picked up some new information from me. So yes it was a successful night. I guess I just put too much pressure on myself when taking a guest. I try to get them into the action that I usually get into.

I think we all want to show each other a good trip and when it doesn’t go as planned the frustration sets in. That one is plenty large enough. Seems like that’s all I get lately.
I have found that if its a HOT bite and I invite someone to enjoy it with me the dang crappie somehow know and shut off like a light switch .the number of times its happened to me defies imagination . and yes sir it is embarrassing sometimes as well when they look at you like really bro ? you brung on this mile long treck thru some jungle environment to ketch one fish ? or 3 ...:Rofl
