The red are not that bright. I have a dimmer but not sure if I will really need one.

You had me reminiscing about my army days, we had three lense cover for our flashlights, red - green - clear. Red was what most of us used. When we where deployed, clear was a no-no. Red was the only one you could look at a map with, look up, and not have to wait for your eyes to re adjust.Quote:

Iv never done much night fishing for crappie. I used to catfish a lot but not so much anymore. I am really looking forward in seeing how well they work down in Florida next week.
